Wenn ein indirektes Objekt des Aktivsatzes zum Subjekt des Passivsatzes wird, spricht man vom persönlichen Passiv:
The coach gave the players the ball.
The players were given the ball .
Wenn man Pronomen anstelle der Nomen verwendet, ergibt sich eine Änderung:
The coach gave them the ball.
They were given the ball .
Das Objektpronomen muss, wenn der Satz ins Passiv gesetzt wird, durch das passende Subjektpronomen ersetzt werden.
