Wenn ein indirektes Objekt des Aktivsatzes zum Subjekt des Passivsatzes wird, spricht man vom persönlichen Passiv:

The coach   gave   the players the ball.

The players   were given the ball .

Wenn man Pronomen anstelle der Nomen verwendet, ergibt sich eine Änderung:

The coach   gave   them the ball.

They   were given the ball .

Das Objektpronomen muss, wenn der Satz ins Passiv gesetzt wird, durch das passende Subjektpronomen ersetzt werden.

Change these sentences into personal passive. Use a by-agent if necessary.

1. They sent us some information about Yellowstone National Park.

    We() were sent() some information about Yellowstone National Park.

2. But they haven’t given me the adresses of any hotels.

    But I() haven't been given (present perfect passive) the adresses of any hotels.

3. "Did the ranger give you all the chance to take pictures of the bison?"

    He asked: " Were() you() all given() the chance to take pictures of the bison?"

Surfing USA

Change these sentences into personal passive.

1. The beach bum promised us a fantastic adventure on the beach.

    we() were promised() a fantastic adventure on the beach by() the beach bum.

2. Someone lent me a surfboard for a few days.

    'I() was lent() a surfboard for a few days.

3. The waves carry you back to the beach.

    You() are carried() back to the beach by() the waves.

4. Someone invited me to dinner.

    I() was invited() to dinner.
